Here are our favorite ways to decorate with lanterns for weddings:

Down the aisle

If you’re looking for a way to easily elevate your ceremony, consider adding lanterns for weddings down the aisle to lead the way as you walk to meet your partner. You can either hang the lanterns on shepherd hooks or place them on the ground next to each aisle’s end chair. Put a simple white, lighted pillar candle in each lantern. If you hang your lanterns on hooks, you can use floral wire to add some flowers and greenery to the hook. If you place the lanterns on the ground, sprinkle flower petals down the aisle between each lantern.

On the altar

To add some panache to your wedding altar, considering framing the space with lanterns for weddings. If you’re getting married outside and have no obvious “altar,” you can use two groupings of curated lanterns to create a romantic spot for your nuptials. Set lanterns of varying heights on each side of the altar, or use wooden boxes and crates to help create varying heights among the lanterns. Just be sure to keep the two sides of the altar visually balanced! You can also incorporate floral arrangements among the lanterns for a look that’s even more elevated.

For your centerpieces

Creating budget-friendly—yet luxe-looking—reception centerpieces is easy when you use lanterns for weddings. Too add more visual appeal to your reception, choose a couple different centerpiece styles and alternate them among your tables. Here are a few different ideas to consider:

  • Open the doors of glass lanterns and have flowers spilling out. Surround with votive candles.
