Make your own terrarium in 8 steps
Creating your own terrarium is simple with these quick and easy steps.

Step 1: Buy Your Terrarium

There are many terrarium vessel shapes and sizes to choose from. Pick the one that suits your space.

Step 2: Select Your Succulents

Combine textures, shapes, colors and sizes to create a truly unique and beautiful terrarium.

Step 3: Layer Drainage Materials

Choose your material whether it be soil, charcoal, rocks, or sand.

Step 4: Plant Your Succulents

Use terrarium tools to plant succulents in your chosen terrarium vessel.

Step 5: Accessorize

Have fun with it! Add accessories to your terrarium including fairy garden trinkets, feathers, shells, crystals or sticks.

Step 6: Water Your Terrarium

Most succulents like direct or bright sunlight. Let the soil dry out almost completely between waterings.

Step 7: Clean When Needed

Clean and wipe down the glass of your terrarium. Remove dead debris with terrarium tools.
